Hi Diane! A Short cord, car charger, wall charger and headphones were included as a bonus to your 9ft. cord order due to the delay in shipping your order out. That particular kit is for an iPhone/iPod only, not for the iPad. In order to charge you iPad with your 9ft cord, you can plug it in directly into the computer or into the original iPad wall charger you received with your iPad.
