What is Spotted Fox?
Spotted Fox delivers the deals you want, when you want them. By allowing
you to customize your daily deal experience, you save both time and
money. We hunt down the best deals on the experiences that matter most
to you and your family. We know your inbox is crowded, so when you
receive an email from us – you’ll know it’s something you already told
us you wanted.
Why is my password not working?
Spotted Fox has recently upgraded platforms, and this change requires that users update their password. Instructions: On the log in page, simply click on the "Forgot/Update your password?" link, and enter in your email address. You will be emailed a link that will allow you to create or change your password. You will not be able to log in until you change your password. If you do not see an email from Spotted Fox in your email inbox, please check your Junk folder. If you find it in your Junk folder, please use our whitelist instructions and add "deals@spottedfox.com" to your contacts to insure future delivery to your inbox. If for some reason your email never arrives (please wait at least 5 minutes), please contact us and we will assist you.
Where's my Voucher? How do I use the deal I just
bought?
After you purchase the deal, you will receive an email with an attached voucher. Simply print the attached voucher
and enjoy! You can also sign in to your account to
print your voucher. The voucher has instructions on how to use the deal
you just purchased. Please note that we ask you to wait at least ONE DAY
before using your voucher so that we can inform the merchant of your
purchase.
Do a minimum number of people need to buy the
deal before I can get it?
No. Spotted Fox negotiates the best deals with the best product and
service providers. There is never a minimum or tipping point required
for you to get a deal. That said, we’re pretty sure you'll want to
invite your friends to take advantage of a deal or ask them to join you.
Is using Spotted Fox safe?
Yes. Very safe. Our sign up and credit card checkout pages are SSL
encrypted (look for the https: when you enter that page) and credit card
check out is also PCI compliant, which means your credit card
information is never in jeopardy. For more information on credit card

What kind of security do you have for my credit
card information?
We designed Spotted Fox to allow you to store your credit card
information to make check out on future purchaes quick and painless. In
order to do this, our platform has had to meet the extremely strict PCI
DSS Compliance. The PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that
includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures,
network architecture, software design and other critical protective
measures. This comprehensive standard is intended to help organizations
proactively protect customer account data. For a complete description

Prohibited Data Storage
We never store card validation code (CAV2, CID, CVC2, CVV2), or PIN
block data. Storage of this data is prohibited by the PCI DSS
regulations.
Data Encryption
Cardholder data is stored using one of the most advanced encryption
methods available. Even if the database were somehow compromised, a data
thief would not be able to make use of information stolen from the
database without also having the security key, which is changed on a
regular basis. Additionally, the data store where cardholder data is
kept is never directly accessed from the Internet.
Additional Security Steps
Encrypted CC storage is done through separate app and database servers
to ensure that front-end app servers cannot read the encrypted, or get
access to the decrypted values. Even our developers do not have access
and keys to decrypt the stored credit card.
How do I buy today's deal?
Sign in or register a new account, then just click the "BUY" button
before the offer ends. Enter your credit card information and you’ll own
it. It’s that simple.
When will my Credit Card be charged?
Your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase. You may see a
"pending" charge on your account depending on your financial
institution. A pending charge will convert to an actual charge at the
end of the day.
If I am unable to use the full value of the
Voucher in one visit, can I use the rest later?
No. Unless the merchant agrees otherwise (it will say on the deal when
you purchase it), your voucher must be used in one visit. This may be
the perfect time to bring your friends!
I'm concerned that I may not be able to use my
Voucher before it expires.
Don’t worry! If your voucher expires, it only loses its promotional
value. You will still be able to redeem it for the price you paid. In
other words, if you purchased a $20 voucher for $10, even after the
expiration it is still worth the $10 you paid. With Spotted Fox you
don’t lose money!
Can my Voucher be combined with other offers or
specials?
No. You will generally not be able to combine a Spotted Fox deal with
another deal or with other offers or specials. If a merchant has
specifically authorized a combination of offers, it will be presented in
the "Details" section of the offer.
Where are my emails?
I signed up for Spotted Fox to receive great, personalized deals, but I
am not getting emails from you. Remember, Spotted Fox will only send you
email that matches your interests so be sure to sign in and review your
profile. It’s possible that you have limited your profile too much to
get any offers. Also - sometimes your email provider filters your email.
Please check your "Junk" or "Spam" folder. To avoid this problem and
ensure you get all of your offers in the future, please do the
following:
- Add "Spotted Fox" to your contact list with the following email addresses: deals@spottedfox.com and spot@spottedfox.com
- Check your Junk or Spam Folder and search for an email from us. Highlight our email and click "Not Spam" or "Not Junk."
- Review our whitelisting instructions for your specific email provider here.
Can I change my profile and email address?
Yes! Any time you want, you can simply log in to your account to change
your profile. You can edit your interests, city, password and any other
information. If you update your email address, you may continue to get
email at your old email address. If you do not wish to receive email at
your old address, simply unsubscribe using the instructions at the
bottom of that message.
Do you have a referral program?
At Spotted Fox we believe in sharing and we want to make it easy for you
AND your friends. After you finish the sign up process you can use our
"Refer-A-Friend" feature located on the right hand side of the deal
page. When your friend signs up and makes a purchase, you will see a deposit in your account! To get your individual "Refer-A-Friend" link, you must be a registered user. Once registered, simply log in and locate the "Refer-A-Friend" area on the right side of the page, then use "click here for details." You will be taken to a page that gives you your personalized link to share via email, twitter, your blog, etc.
I want to receive offers from Spotted Fox. When
are you coming to my city?
We have an aggressive growth plan and will be opening new markets very
rapidly. Please sign up for the nearest city or a city you visit so we
can stay in touch. You can also sign up for our "National" emails for offers that are good for everyone - just check the city labeled "National" in your account profile. We send announcements to our subscribers whenever we
open a new city – hopefully yours! Also, we'd love to hear from you and
your friends. Why do you think we should come to your city next? Let us
know via email or Facebook post.
I have a question and want to talk to a real
person. Can I do that?
We are real people too ~ please call us at (619) 906-4091 between 9am
and 6pm (PST) Monday through Friday or send us an email at
info@spottedfox.com. If we don’t pick up the phone, we will get back to
you within one business day. If you have any other questions that have

Where is my voucher?
After your deal has been purchased, you will receive your voucher via
email within 15 minutes. If it does not arrive in your inbox, please
check your "junk" folder and if located there, click "not junk." To
prevent this from happening in the future please review above under
"Where are my emails?"
You can also log into your Spotted Fox account to print any of your
vouchers at any time.
My vouchers won't print centered on one page
Since there are hundreds of browser, screen, email and printer
combinations, sometimes the format to print voucher emails does not
print centered for everyone. To solve this problem please try to print
your voucher directly from your Spotted Fox account after logging in.
How do I refer a friend to get credit?
Have you already created an account on spottedfox.com? As soon as you
create an account with us, you can log-in and get your individual
Refer-A-Friend link. Share this link with others via email, facebook,
twitter – or any other method. Those that purchase after using your link to sign up, will
create a credit in your account. You can see how much credit you’ve
earned in your account center.
I am a San Diego Customer. What happened to my emails and the San Diego offer page?
On October 16th, 2012 Spotted Fox joined forces with another San Diego daily deal firm - Half Price San Diego (HPSD). From that date forward, all San Diego emails and website offers will come from HPSD. Below are details that should answer any questions regarding this new arrangement.
I'm only subscribed to Spotted Fox in San Diego:
1) Where are my credits? Your credits have been transferred to your account within Half Price San Diego. You should be able to login with your same username and password on the HPSD website Login Page. If not, you can request a new password and reset it.
2) Where are my vouchers? Your vouchers have been transferred to your account within Half Price San Diego. For a limited time, they may also still appear in your Spotted Fox account and you can print them from there.
3) I am missing some vouchers - where are they? Purchases made on or after October 4th 2012, and purchases made from "National Deals" are going to be in your Spotted Fox account only. Login and print any vouchers there.
I'm subscribed to Spotted Fox in San Diego AND another city or "National Deals":
1) Where are my credits? Your credits are still in your Spotted Fox account. You'll still receive our emails for your other cities, and you will be able to use your credit for deals in all other cities and on products that we feature.
2) Where are my vouchers? Your vouchers for San Diego purchases are in your account within Half Price San Diego. Your vouchers for all purchases will also remain in your Spotted Fox account. You can view them by logging into your account, clicking My Account and My Purchases. All future purchases will be in the account you used to purchase the voucher.
3) I am missing some vouchers - where are they? Purchases made on or after October 4th 2012, and purchases made from "National Deals" are going to be in your Spotted Fox account only. Please log in and print them from there.
